NewRivers Alliance is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving equitable access to preventive healthcare through community-based acupuncture programs.
Our mission is to reduce barriers to care by providing accessible acupuncture services that address chronic stress and other precursors to chronic disease. By investing in prevention and early intervention we aim to improve individual health outcomes, reduce healthcare inequities, and decrease dependence on high-cost emergency and acute care systems.
Our Mission
Through community partnerships, charitable support, and evidence-informed clinical programming, NewRivers Alliance delivers preventive acupuncture services that reduce obstacles to care while developing scalable and replicable models that promote long-term health, community wellness, and health equity.
The Alliance is developing its initial preventive acupuncture pilot program, with a focus on reducing financial and insurance-related barriers for individuals who lack access to consistent preventive care.
Our long-term vision is a healthcare system that invests in prevention, expands access to integrative care, and ensures that everyone can access effective preventative treatment, before illness becomes crisis.
